Hilo, Hawaiʻi – The Board of Directors of Hui Mālama Ola Nā ʻŌiwi is excited to announce the appointment of16Kanoa Ng as the organization’s new Executive Director, effective immediately. “Kanoa brings a wealth of experience, dedication, and a deep-rooted commitment to the community, making him an ideal leader for our organization as we embark on our mission to foster unity and wellness among the people of Hawaiʻi Island,” says Noelani Hoʻopai, Hui Mālama Ola Nā ʻŌiwi Board Chair. “With a profound understanding of the unique challenges facing our communities and a passion for indigenous health care, Kanoa Ng is well-equipped to lead Mālama Ola Nā ʻŌiwi into a new era of growth and prosperity. His visionary leadership and collaborative spirit, align perfectly with the organization’s core values, and we are confident that under his guidance, we will persistently advance towards our goals.”
For the past three years, Kanoa exemplified the meaning of dedicated service and kuleana while serving as the Executive Assistant, Project Manager, and most recently as the Interim Executive Director of Mālama Ola Nā ʻŌiwi. Kanoa also holds a B.S. Degree in Early Childhood Education and a M.Ed. in Educational Leadership from Chaminade Univeristy. This background, combined with training and instruction on effective collaboration, inquiry, leadership, strategic planning, and community relations, positions Kanoa to excel in this role.

Under its new leadership, Hui Mālama Ola Nā ʻŌiwi will persist in its role as a beacon of hope and healing, promoting the health and wellness of Hawaiʻi Island residents.
